Home improvement specialist Caleb Killough and was going door to door offering his company's services to residents in Keller TX. He knocked on the door of Melinda Potosky who explained through her ring doorbell that she had just got home from the hospital and wasn't up to discussing anything. Caleb said he understood and began praying for her on her front porch. She appreciated that. He asked her what the problem was and she said her lungs were failing. Caleb almost lost his dad a few years earlier because he needed a lung transplant to live. She mentioned that her husband of almost 50 years had recently passed and now she was alone. Caleb added another prayer for her to know she was loved. She liked that prayer and decided to invite him in for something to drink.
When Caleb met her he says “There was something in her eyes that reminded me of my grandmother".
When Caleb left he says he couldn't get her out of his mind. He went back and talked to his bosses about what he saw inside the home.
This week, Killough returned to Potosky’s home with news that the company he works for, Texas Home Improvement, would complete all her home’s needed repairs at no cost. Potosky describes Killough as “the most delightful young man I’ve ever encountered” and jokes that she may have to invite him to be her grandson.
