A new sport is coming to Los Angeles and it’s serious. A startup is launching the world’s first live sperm race.
4 men recently raised $1 million in support of their efforts to put on the world’s first sperm race. The four men behind the idea are Eric Zhu (Thor Ventures, Aviato) Nick Small (the youngest sold-out founder in cryptocurrency), Shane Fan (Waterfall Market) and Garret Niconienko (Vertical Media, ex-MrBeast team).
The Sperm Racing website’s “manifesto” cites a worldwide decline in male fertility as the catalyst for the idea. Here’s how the racing will work: “a microscopic racetrack for the two sperm samples to compete on will be constructed. The course mimics reproductive system and includes chemical signals, fluid dynamics and synchronized starts.”
The sperms’ actions will tracked by high-resolution cameras and livestreamed. There will even be stats, leaderboards and, instant replays. Oh…you can bet on the races too. The world’s first-ever sperm race will take place on April 25.
