A Texas rideshare driver is being called a hero after rescuing a toddler wandering alone into oncoming traffic. Z Trip driver Michelle Gallegos was taking a regular passenger near I‑35 when she spotted what she thought was a dog—until she realized it was a little boy heading straight into the road. She stopped her car, blocked traffic, grabbed the child, and got him safely inside her vehicle before calling 911.
Police say the toddler had slipped away from his family at a nearby apartment complex. Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt and was quickly reunited with his parents.
