Army vet Lynn Harris has spent his retirement doing something unexpectedly adorable — cuddling NICU babies. For 20 years, the 83‑year‑old volunteer has been a calming presence at St. David’s Medical Center, using his medic’s touch and gentle chatter to soothe the tiniest patients.
After eight years as a Level 4 NICU “baby cuddler,” he celebrates every time a little one is strong enough to go home — and he’s urging more people, especially men, to join the ranks of these much‑needed snuggle heroes.
