Brothers from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, have turned their annual lemonade stand into a fundraiser that’s raised more than $60-thousand for veterans. Noah and Cole Dingels started the stand in 2022 when they were just seven and four, and donate every dollar they earn to Tee It Up for the Troops, inspired by their grandfather, who served more than 33 years in the Army and National Guard.
The boys raised $359 in their first year, $762 the next year before a matching donation doubled the total, and more than $23-thousand this year, bringing their total to over $60-thousand. They expanded the stand by selling snacks and golf balls they collected near the course, and they also began reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships.
The money helps fund service dogs for veterans and supports Loops Fore Troops, a program that trains service members as caddies. Tee It Up for the Troops board member Tom Groom calls the boys "selfless," and adds that they understand the value of giving back at a young age.
