We’re getting so used to the high cost of groceries today that it’s easy to forget how cheap things used to be, but a post on X is revealing the shocking difference 20 years makes in prices. A woman recently shared a 2006 receipt from Walmart that she found while going through her mom’s old stuff and it shows 79 items were purchased for just $161.87.
The post has gone viral with more than 12-million views and thousands of comments, many who can’t believe the price increases in the last two decades.
