The cruise ship at the center of a deadly hantavirus outbreak is being refused for docking. 149-people remain on board, with two of them seriously ill, and the virus is also suspected to have killed three people. Reports say Cape Verde said it decided not to let the Dutch ship MV Hondius dock at the port of Praia as a precautionary measure. The cruise operator Oceanwide Expeditions issued a statement noting that the ship may sail from Cape Verde to Las Palmas or Tenerife in the Canary Islands and dock there. It remains unclear how passengers on the Hondius came to be infected. Among the 87 remaining passengers, 17 are American, 19 are from the U.K. and 13 from Spain. South African officials have started contact tracing to find the source of the outbreak. Hantavirus can incubate in the body for up to eight weeks. Meanwhile, travel blogger Jake Rosmarin, who is on the ship, posted an emotional video.
