Rays sideline reporter Ryan Bass stepped in during the game and brought a separate baseball to the girl in the stands. He greeted the family and later shared a pic of the moment on social media, showing the girl and her brother holding baseballs and smiling. The girl got emotional after receiving the replacement ball, and her family thanked Bass and the broadcast team for their kindness.
Several innings later, the man returned the original home run ball to the little girl. DeVoe expressed appreciation for the support her family received during the game.
