Baker Makes Himself Worlds Biggest Birthday Cake

A British Columbia cafe owner decided to go big for his 80th birthday, so he baked a huge carrot cake measuring 17 feet by 17 feet. Ted Martindale, owner of Granville's Coffee in Quesnel, couldn’t do it alone, so multiple local bakeries helped assemble his birthday cake, which contained over 1,760 pounds of carrots, 700 pounds of butter, thousands of eggs and nearly 2,000 pounds of icing. It ended up taking over a month to bake the 430 individual cakes that made up the final product. Martindale may end up with a Guinness Record after they review the info.
