Student Stunned By What He Found In This Backpack

News Nation reports that a group of Jewish students who had just visited Israel and were returning home to Brooklyn landed at Newark. A cab driver threw their luggage in the trunk. When they arrived home the kids grabbed their bags. After 2 of them walked off and a 3rd turned to walk away with his bag, the cabbie said "this backpack must be one of your friends" and handed it to him.

As the cab drove off the young man opened the bag to see whose bag it was. “First, I saw a laptop. Then I started opening other areas and seeing jewelry. I was shocked!  There was a custom diamond-encrusted pendant, several Rolex watches, loose diamonds, other jewelry, and an estimated $100,000 cash"!

He immediately called the trip leader who works for a group called Shmira. Shmira volunteers quickly started an investigation and were able to track down the backpack’s rightful owner. The man, who works in New York City’s Diamond District, came to the group's Borough Park office to reclaim the bag. According to Shmira director Levi Leifer, the man was overwhelmed with emotion when he saw the contents were all still there.

The student asked to remain anonymous declined any reward. "There's no reward on earth that could top what my Father in heaven will bless me with".
