Video Store Finally Closes Except For 1 Autistic Customer

Video Stop has been serving folks in Pocatello, Idaho for many years. Obviously it's been tough the last few years for anyone in the DVD rental industry. David Kraning the owner of Video Stop began transitioning the store into a convenience store K & B Kwik Stop.. Most of the customers saw that development and understood the end of the DVD rentals were near and began making plans to get Netflix or some other way to watch movies. However there were 2 ladies were very distraught. Christina Cavanaugh, a longtime customer with Down syndrome and is non verbal autistic Video Stop has been her favorite place to visit since she was a kid. She is now 35. The other was her mom who felt the pain her daughter was going through as she lost this experience.

East Idaho News reports that David decided to devote one corner of his store to Christina.  “Christina’s corner.” has about 100 DVD's that are some of her favorite animated and kids classics. Of course David is losing money because that's valuable retail space he's paying for but uses it to rent Christina on average 2-3 movies a week. But he says it's totally worth it. Everyone in town knows Christina and even people who don't know her, they love to see how happy she is when she gets to rent a movie".
