Dog Uses His Owner To Save Another Dog

Collin Leiby was trekking Sharp Mountain in Pottsville, Pennsylvania with his dog, Bass, a black lab, veered off the trail. Lehigh Valley News reports that Collin was out for his weekly walk with Bass but quietly hoping they would discover a dog that had run off from it's owners house a week earlier. Fliers had been posted all over Pottsville about a golden retriever named Freddy who had broke out of his families yard and was last seen running up Sharp Mountain. But hope had been diminishing since Freddy had been gone for a week and so many folks had been looking for him.

Bass led Colin to a coal pit that was about 10 feet deep with Freddy stuck at the bottom.
