Valentine’s Day is supposed to be one of the most romantic days of the year and for those lucky enough to be in love, it’s also a popular day to propose. Of course, engagement rings don’t come cheap, with the average price of a one-carat diamond running $6-thousand in 2024. But one restaurant chain is offering an option that would let you avoid paying for a pricey ring.
Red Robin is enticing anyone who’s thinking of popping the question on Valentine’s Day to do it in one of their restaurants … with one of their onion rings. Sure, it sounds silly, but the lovebirds who do it get the chance to win a diamond engagement ring of their choice worth up to $10-thousand.
- To be eligible, the proposal has to happen at a Red Robin location on February 14th, 2025 and it has to include their fried onion ring.
- Then, the newly engaged couple uploads a video or photo of the magical moment to the restaurant’s contest site by February 19th.
- They’ll choose one winner, who will get $10-thousand in jewelry store gift cards to use to buy the engagement ring of their choice.
- The winner will also get $180 worth of Red Robin gift cards so they can enjoy their Towering Onion Rings throughout their engagement.
But it has to be a first-time engagement, so married couples can’t use it as a chance to propose to renew their vows. Of course, popping the question with an onion ring at Red Robin on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you’ll win the $10-thousand, but someone has to win, so why not you?
