KBMT-TV Beaumont TX has a story out of Orange, Texas, which happened at the drive-thru window of a fast food restaurant. Nicalet Wilkerson, is the manager at Bliss Box and was working at the drive thru when a woman holding a baby out of her car window pulled up. The mom was hysterical and said you have to help my baby who was choking.
Nicalet has no medical training or children of her own, but she took the child. "When they're screaming save my baby what are you going to to do? Say I have no idea how to do that"?
Wilkerson stayed calm and gave the baby some firm pats on the back, hoping to dislodge whatever was blocking its airway. Relief washed over her when the baby let out a strong cry. "I figured if you can cry, you can breathe". . She then handed the child back to the emotional mother, who thanked her before driving off.
The intense moment left Wilkerson shaken but praising God! She posted on her Facebook page. I just want to say the outpouring of love and support is indescribable! Thank you all so much! I appreciate it. It was nothing but God that guided me through it, praise him!!! Love you all.
