Dad's Can Suffer Postpartum Depression Too

New research from the University of Illinois Chicago finds moms aren’t the only ones susceptible to postpartum depression. 30% of Dads screened positive for postpartum depression. “A lot of dads are stressed. They’re scared,” lead study author Dr. Sam Wainwright says. “And they’re struggling with balancing work and parental and partner responsibilities.” He says the research highlights the importance of asking new dads how they’re doing.
