Granger Smith Performs First Concert Since COVID Quarantine

Granger Smith returned to the stage Friday (June 12), performing a full-band show for what appeared to be a packed house at the Country River Club in Tyler, Texas. He posted this pic with the caption; This pic was from last night. Not 6 months ago, not pre-shutdown...it was last night in East Texas. There were rules, and everyone followed them. It felt normal and normal feels really good. I’m posting this to try and spread some good news to those that might be searching for it...normal is making a comeback! And we’ll be seeing YOU soon!

I'm not sure what the rules were as most seem to be without masks and ignoring the 6 foot social distance recommendations of the CDC. Response to the photo on his Instagram seems to be mostly positive but a number of people have claimed this is irresponsible.

Texas cases of COVID 10 are up from about 800 a day to 1500 a day. In South Carolina we were averaging around 200 cases a day but the last week it skyrocketed to 700 or more. The good news is hospital capacity is still around 70% and have actually dropped in the last week. The daily death average hasn't changed either still averaging around 10 per day with about 90 percent of people passing listed as elderly and/or living in assisted living facilities.
