Giant crowds forced the closure of The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville over the weekend. The arboretum said that on Saturday, there were such large crowds to see the dozen trolls made of reclaimed wood that capacity was met and no more visitors could enter. Local roadways were backed up leading to the center. This comes as the trolls, which are part of Thomas Dambo's "A Field Study" display, have brought in an 800-percent increase in visitor volume to the arboretum since their debut in November. The trolls are on display again today for the final time. The display next heads to California next month.
