A 10-year-old girl in Manheim, Pennsylvania, is shoveling snow to earn money to buy a birthday gift for her brother.
WGAL-TV reports that Helaina Hayduk started thinking about "I love giving and with Liam's 13th birthday coming up that's like a really big one becoming a teenager and stuff. And I was like I can't really get him a gift worthy of that so what was I going to do? Then I saw there was some big snowstorm coming and I thought 'thankyou God', you're doing this to help me. I asked my dad if I could use our shovel after we cleared our stuff to sell my services to some neighbors who don't have kids that shovel".
The Philly area received a little less than a foot of snow!
Her father, Shawn says he loves his daughters heart and her work ethic. Shawn and Liam actually helped her on 5 houses which took pretty much all day but they did split the money 3 ways to make it a proper business. Helaina was able to go to the store this week and give Liam an amazing gift for his birthday. An Eagles jersey with his name the back!
Liam said "I'm just blown away by my sister. She makes me want to be a better brother".
