UPS Driver Makes Most Important Carry Of His Life

On Thursday afternoon, a UPS driver in Santa Ana, California, helped rescue a 101-year-old woman from a house fire after neighbors noticed smoke coming from her home. KTLA-TV reports that the neighbors tried, but were unable to help the woman escape, so they flagged down a nearby UPS driver.

Without hesitation, the driver lifted the woman and carried her out of the house to safety. While he focused on the rescue, other neighbors worked to slow the fire using extinguishers. One neighbor grabbed a ladder and used a garden hose to spray water into a kitchen vent to keep the flames from spreading.

Firefighters arrived soon after and put out the fire. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Fire officials praised the rescue effort, calling it a remarkable outcome made possible by quick action and teamwork.
