On Sunday in Dayton, members of the Ohio State Council of Clubs worked together to deliver more than $13-thousand in Christmas gifts to Montgomery County Children's Services.
This is now an eight-year tradition.
Riders from 42 motorcycle clubs spent months organizing the effort and arrived with two trailers full of toys. Volunteers sorted the gifts by age and size, and organizers are now matching them with children for distribution in the coming weeks.
Montgomery County Commissioner Judy Dodge also explained why Children’s Services is one of their main focuses during the holidays.
“You have to remember the children that are in our care have suffered some problems at home,” she said. “For them to come down Christmas morning and get a bike. There are a lot of bikes donated. It’s just going to make their day.”
