Police Get Unexpected Help On Solving A Crime

Channel 10 Philly reports that Officers were responding to a call where someone reported hearing a loud crash and came out of their house to see a vehicle fleeing after destroying her parked car. Shortly after, a man identified only as PJ arrived on horseback and told cops that he‘d also seen the crash. But since the only description they had of the vehicle was silver Honda Accord and there was no video to gain more info they said it seemed doubtful they would be able to find that driver.

PJ sitting on his horse named Shiny said I'll be right back. Knowing the direction the car was driving he theorized the driver was trying to get to I-95. It's about 3 miles through a neighborhood where the speed limit is 30 MPH with some congestion and stoplights. That should take 10 minutes. 3 minutes had gone by. Could PJ cut through the woods to the area by the on ramp in 6 minutes? He thought so and he was correct. He arrived about 30 seconds before the Honda with the front end heavily damaged rolled by him and he took down the plate and returned to the scene of the crime to give that plate along with a description of the driver to Police.

Less than an hour later Police arrived at the home of 22-year-old Italo Lalvay Guaillasaca who also had the Honda in the garage. He was charged with careless driving, driving without a license, failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident. The police posted their update. We’d especially like to thank PJ and his sidekick "Shiny" for their efforts to get us the information that ultimately solved the case.
