The Owners Of The Shop Next Door Become Unexpected Heroes

ABC Bakersfield reports that in Cal City CA a woman who only shared her first name of Soraya was working in her thrift store when 2 "customers" attacked her.

.The attackers, had previously visited her store asking for a job, .This day they asked if they could use the copy machine. She said no and that's when the 2 launched at her. The first one was a woman in her 30's who grabbed Soraya's cane and hit her in the head. Soraya was screaming as the man with the woman joined the attack to pummel her.

The women next door at Hair & Nails To Dye For Salon heard Soraya's cries for help and sprang into action. Christina Robertson, a stylist, kicked the guy in the ribs and dragged the man off Soraya. and shoved him against the wall. Diane Lynch, the salon's owner, is 4'11" and recovering from wrist surgery, but she beat the stuffing out of the much larger homeless woman.

The vagrants are identified as Lita Barnes of California City and Shelton Hickman of Norwalk,

Cal City Police quickly responded and arrested the attackers. Now recovering from the incident, Soraya expressed deep gratitude towards her neighbors, calling them life savers. Lynch believes that everyone deserves to feel safe and she and her team try to look out for one another to help ensure a sense of security in their community.
