This Good News Story Has A Taylor Swift Mention

My bosses told me that if you mention Taylor Swift more people pay attention. So when I saw her name in this good news story of course I led with it!

In Petaluma, California, goldsmith Jordan Mantzke was beside himself when he lost a diamond engagement ring worth $23-thousand dollars!

Petaluma360.com reports that when Jordan realized that the ring was missing, he frantically searched his shop and home and retraced his steps all over town. I imagine it was like Jimmy Stewart in It's A Wonderful Life looking for the missing bank deposit.

But Jimmy Stewart didn't have the internet. Jordan posted on community platforms like Next Door and Craigslist. Jordan says he got a few messages the next day from people wishing him good luck but no leads. Then he got the best message ever. ‘FOUND! Your Lost Ring In Petaluma.’”

Fortunately, a man named Ken (last name withheld by request) had found the ring on the street. He brought it home and asked his sister to help find the owner. She was searching the web for lost engagement rings when she found Jordan's post.

Ken and his sister arranged a time to return the ring to Jordan. Jordan said he hugged them both very hard and tried to give them some money but they refused it. “I will never forget Ken and his honesty. I feel incredibly happy that good honest people really do still exist in this world".

Now for your Taylor Swift tie in. This ring was created as part of a Youtube challenge amongst jewelers. If you were going to propose to Taylor what kind of ring would you create. Jordan says this was the most expensive ring he's ever made! So maybe Travis will be heading to Petaluma soon.
