Homeless Man Turns Life Around After Prayer Is Answered

55 year old Shaun Donnelly and his dog Sandy have been living in the parking lot of a Los Angeles Costco for the past few months. He was really down after losing his tent in a recent storm. He says they were “miserable and cold” with no real hope of turning things around. "I was praying to God that He would send someone to help us. If we could just get back on our feet I knew I could work again but not from this position".

Then they met Thomas Greenberg, a good Samaritan who was moved to help them find shelter.

Greenberg, an entertainment attorney, found out that Shaun was a former truck driver who never expected he would find himself homeless. His truck had been vandalized and the insurance company didn't cover the damage. He had to cancel a few deliveries and next thing his life was spiralling out of control. He had been living in the truck and when it was repossessed he became homeless. He had no family to ask help from as an only child who never married.

To give him a warm and safe place to live, Greenberg bought an RV that used to be a production vehicle. Donnelly was extremely grateful. "A gift from God actually...I feel like I'm in a coma, dreaming all this because this is too good to be true,"

To further help Donnelly get back on his feet and pay for the maintenance on the RV, Greenberg started a crowdfund page, which so far has raised twelve thousand dollars from one hundred eighty donors. Greenberg's ultimate goal is to help Donnelly and Sandy find permanent housing and the resources to re-enter the workforce and become self-sufficient. It’s his hope that his act of kindness will be the start of Donnelly reclaiming his life.
