Here Come The New Super Bowl Ads

Brands spend millions of dollars to air their ads on TV’s biggest night, and some are so good, they end up being one of the most famous commercials of all time.

While last year’s Super Bowl was a stand out because of all the beer ads, including an especially memorable one from San Adams, this year some well-known fast food and snack brands will be airing their very first Super Bowl ad. These are a few that will be newbies to the big game on February 11th.

  • Popeyes - Their ad will be focused on the fact that their new wings are being added to the permanent menu. Popeyes is also running a “Wings for Wings” promo- if the winner of the Super Bowl has wings in its name, logo or on its mascot, you can get a free 6-piece order of wings on February 13th with any purchase online or in their app. And yep, Buffalo totally counts as a team “with wings in its name.”
  • Starry - It’s been a year since Pepsi introduced Starry, their replacement for discontinued Sierra MIst. In its Super Bowl debut, the lemon lime soda is teaming up with Ice Spice, who’s also making hers.
  • Nerds - This beloved candy has been around for 40 years, but it's definitely having a moment, mostly thanks to one product - Nerds Gummy Clusters. The brand’s 30-second commercial may have cost as much as $7 million and will include those popular Nerds Gummy Clusters, as well as the Nerds mascots.
  • Drumstick - Super Bowl LVIII (58) will also feature an ad from the ice cream novelty brand during the third quarter of the game. Their 30-second spot stars comedian Eric André and will continue the adventures of Dr. Umstick, a Ken doll-like figure who’s about the same size as his favorite ice cream cone.
  • Oreo is also making a comeback at this year’s Super Bowl after a decade away, but Avocados From Mexico, a brand that regularly has Super Bowl ads, will not be airing one.

Here are the 10 highest rated commercials from last years Super Bowl.
