The Daily Mirror reports that a couple in China got a major surprise recently when they visited a doctor after not being able to conceive. Obstetrician Liu Hongmei recalls the couple being married for 4 years, in their mid-20s and complaining that no matter how many times they tried, they just couldn’t get pregnant. After doing all the standard exams, Dr. Liu’s suspicions were confirmed when she realized the couple had been having “adult time” in an area... where babies can't be conceived.
Once the obstetrician gave them the correct info about the proper way to conceive a child, the couple became pregnant just a few months later. Think this is rare? Think again. According to Liu, "it is not uncommon for people to lack or have misconceptions regarding [this kind of] knowledge, and I have helped approximately 15 couples with this misunderstanding".
