Samaritan Saves Cop

Last Saturday night, Larksville, Pennsylvania, Police Sergeant Craig Cebrick pulled over a young woman for speeding. As the car stopped, a man jumped out of the passenger seat of the car and shouted at Cebrick, "I'm not doing this again, so f*ck you," and "Not this time." The suspect then lunged at the officer, causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement.

In the altercation, Cebrick’s radio was ripped from his vest, but not before he was able to press an emergency button calling for help. The situation escalated from there when the suspect reportedly attempted to choke the officer and tried to take his weapon while punching him multiple times. The driver also got out of the vehicle and allegedly started kicking and punching the officer, too. Fortunately, at that moment, a good Samaritan got involved, yelling at the assaillants to get off the officer.

After the good Samaritan intervened, the driver got back in her car and drove off and the male attacker fled on foot. Cebrick, who was still dazed from the attack, got up and chased after the suspect, but he managed to elude the officer. After the incident, Sergeant Cebrick was taken to a nearby trauma center to be treated for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. Both attackers were later apprehended and face multiple felonies.
