Australian Authorities Ask Public To Not Jump To Conclusions About This

A mysterious "unidentified" dome that washed ashore on an Australian beach has authorities scratching their heads. The metal object, which was found by locals on a beach about 155 north of Perth, measures about 8x10 feet and doesn’t seem to be from any type of commercial aircraft.

The Western Australia Police Force said in a statement today that the item is believed to be “space debris”. However they ask the public to stop speculating what it is as they believe the UFO discussion is "not helpful".

Though this “thing” is being treated as a hazardous object, aviation expert Geoffrey Thomas says it may be a fuel tank from a rocket that fell from space. Meanwhile, there’s also speculation that the cylinder may have been a part of the missing MH370 airplane that disappeared off the coast of Western Australia in 2014. Police continue to guard the mysterious item while federal authorities work to figure out what it is.
