20 year old climate activist became famous at 16 when she delivered a speech at the UN where she said "you have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words".
She also became very popular on social media where she posted links to articles warning that the earth was warming and that mankind has little time to rid itself of fossil fuels or we'd begin suffering unimaginable catastrophes.
One of those warning tweets was from 2018 and said The tweet from June 21st of that year, quoted an article from Harvard Professor James Anderson, stating “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”
Conservatives from around the world found that tweet and started retweeting it this week to mock that claim.
The NY Post is reporting that Greta has now deleted that tweet.
