Alan Jackson Denies Fans Last Wish

Alan Jackson has done his best to help a woman fulfill her mother’s wishes to have her ashes spread at the singer’s home.

A woman from Maine named Sue Castle traveled to Nashville last week to try and find Alan’s home and spread the ashes, but wound up compromising in a way that still honored her mom alongside her favorite musician. After her story went viral, she visited the singer’s AJ's Good Time Bar on Lower Broadway, with the workers there knowing ahead of time that she was coming.

Turns out Alan heard about her story as well and actually remembered Castle’s mother, Mary Ann "Marie" Gallant who once got to dance with the singer at a 2015 concert in Portland. He told the bar's manager she was "a sweet lady."

The bar wound up offering Sue free food and drinks whenever she came to the bar, and while Alan wouldn’t let her spread the ashes on his property, they found away to honor Marie. The manager agreed to let a display with all sorts of pictures dedicated to her mom’s Alan fandom be featured in the bar.

As for the ashes, Castle will instead place them on her property.
