84 year old Pearl Radcliffe went missing in Houston and her friends and family began frantically searching for her. Volunteers from search and recovery organization Texas EquuSearch got involved the next day and soon located Radcliffe.
The elderly Texan was found unconscious on a sidewalk, in a part of town where no one lives anymore. One of the reasons authorities found her was her dog Maximus was barking. She had just adopted the pup just nine days before she went missing and authorities believe he stayed by her side the entire time she was unconscious on the sidewalk. He was horse from barking for 2 days! He was also dehydrated and very hungry.
Radcliffe was taken to a nearby hospital where she stayed for several days for observation. She is reportedly doing better, but has no memory of what happened during the time she was missing. Her family says that she’s been having memory issues recently. Maximus was taken to a shelter, but the family immediately went to pick up the hero pup and plan on “never letting him go.”
