Forestbrook is a small town in Horry County SC. Terence Sessions was filling up his car at the Marathon gas station there when he thought he spotted a wallet in the road. He told his daughter to stay in the car while he ran out on Belle Terre Boulevard to retrieve it. He considered leaving it with the station attendant. But he thought better of it because this was an opportunity to show his daughter how to help others.
He opened the wallet and found the owner’s address and then they took a drive to return the wallet in person. “Since her mom passed away, I’ve just been trying to teach her little simple stuff to do when she gets older so she can stick with it when she’s not around me."
The wallet’s owner, posted a video captured by her doorbell camera on social media of the good Samaritan at her door returning the wallet. The post has been viewed thousands of times and Terence tells WMBF-TV that he has been surprised by the amount of positive feedback the story has gotten. “You know, no matter what color you are, no matter what, just do the right thing. There is one person looking down from above so it’s always good to teach my daughter to do the right thing.”
