7 year old Massiah Browne from Staten Island was visiting family in Sacramento, California, While spending the day at a public pool, he noticed a small child, motionless at the bottom of the deep end.
Massiah dived into the pool and pulled the little boy up to the surface, where bystanders performed CPR on him until the Sacramento Fire Department showed up. The toddler was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but had stabilized by the time they reached the hospital.
Messiah’s mom, Tiara Delvalle, called the event a “miracle” and says she’s thankful that her child is such a strong swimmer. She says he’s alway been a “brave and strong” boy who admires the superheroes he sees on TV. He even sometimes uses his own superhero name: “Siah Fire.” And now he’s really earned the title of superhero.
