That number goes up to 27% for Millennials, and 20% for Gen Z.
Men are also twice as likely as women to say they’ve put up their three while drunk (25% vs. 13%).
When it comes to trees, 51% believe that artificial trees are safer inside a home than live trees (37%).
As for toy dangers, a non-motorized scooter is the most dangerous causing 477,082 injuries since 2011.
The second-most dangerous toy is balls, followed by toy vehicles (non-riding ones).
Another major hazard is lights, and folks aren’t helping themselves in his area.
68% of people say they leave their lights on overnight, which is a fire hazard.
Plus, 10% of Americas say their lights are at least seven years old, but they haven’t regularly checked the wiring.
And while our pets are like family, they can also be the cause some major Christmas dangers.
72% of pet owners say their pets have knocked down their tree, or knocked off ornaments.
49% of those people have suffered damage or an injury because of it.
