A new boutique-style store just opened this month on the Gulf coast a little south of Tampa Florida and it’s ready to help kids in foster care.
The shop sells clothing and accessories to match and foster kids of all ages can come once a month and shop for free. On their "Who We Are" page they list their mission as 'encourage and inspire foster families'. Their vision is 'provide a haven for foster care so God's love can be shown in a practical way'.
Nicole Britton, The Twig’s Director of Development says there are about 2-thousand children in foster care in the area and they serve about 300 a month.
“We wanted to create an atmosphere for kids where they feel loved,” she explains. “We want them to feel like they are just like any other kid.”
