Salma Hayek Chooses To Die At Home

Variety has an interview with Salma Hayek in their new edition. She discuses a lot of different subjects like her new movie “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” which was finished shooting in 2019 but because of the pandemic will be released next month.

The piece of news that is getting all of the attention however is of a personal nature. The 54 year old Hayek says she “nearly died” from COVID-19 last year. Her symptoms got so bad she was put on oxygen and spent seven weeks in self-isolation... but instead of going to the hospital, she decided to recover at home.

"My doctor begged me to go to the hospital because it was so bad," she explains. "I said, 'No, thank you. I'd rather die at home.'" She says she still hasn't gotten all of her energy back, but believes she was better off at home than a hospital.
