Tiffany Donovan owns Confetti Castle in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was thinking about 2 problems and came up with an answer for both of them. Confetti Castle's business is based on selling items for parties. Their sales were way down due to the restrictions on gatherings. The other problem was she couldn't visit her grandmother in a nursing home and while she could call it wasn't the same. She also used to chat with other residents who didn't have anyone visiting them and knew that they must be extremely lonely.
The answer to her problems was "Adopt A Grandparent"! For $25, people can have a bouquet of balloons delivered to a local nursing home to “send them a smile.” She received orders for more than 400 “adoptions” in the first three days. They deliver to nursing homes in the upstate of SC and western part of NC.
Obviously $25 doesn't put much money towards the bottom line but Tiffany believes that she is finding new customers who will use her service for other items in the future and she knows that spirits are being lifted in quarantine
