Teenager Working At Grocery Store Buys Senior Citizens Groceries

A Kentucky teenager who’s only been on the job for a few weeks but he is becoming a favorite amongst the shoppers of the Kroger store in Covington. Teo Jordan has a great attitude and keeps an eye out for shoppers who look like they might need help finding things while stocking shelves. Last week he was working as a bagger when he heard the cashier tell a senior citizen that he didn’t have enough money on his EBT card to cover his groceries.

So the high school senior reached into his own pocket to cover the difference. Jordan is working to try to save up money to buy a car, but that wasn’t important when he saw this man in need. When he heard the cashier tell the customer that he’d have to put back some of his items, he decided to step in.

“I just thought in my head I would give him this $35 so he could have all the food he wants." Beyond this act of kindness, Jordan follows a simple philosophy: “Just treat people the way you want to be treated and always help out if someone needs it.”
