Yahoo News reports that German firm Biontech says they are about to begin human testing on a COVID 19 vaccine. They are working with Pfizer. Pfizer says it will begin testing the experimental vaccine in the US as early as next week, and says a vaccine could be ready for emergency use in the fall, the Wall Street Journal reported. Pfizer and Biontech are actually working on four possible vaccines against the new coronavirus, and launched clinical trials using volunteers in Germany earlier this month!
Over 100 labs around the world are trying to create a vaccine, and seven are currently in clinical trials!
