Karlie Kloss is heading up Entrepreneur Magazine's inaugural list of 100 Powerful Women in Business. The supermodel and host of “Project Runway” runs “Kode with Klossy” – a program that teaches young women how to write computer code for free.
While it may seem unlikely for a supermodel to be into coding, Karlie quickly dispels the myths. “There are a lot of misconceptions about being a model, and how that directly correlates to your intellect,” she says. “Yes, I’m a model, yes, I’m a woman, and, yes, I’m interested in these areas. And I think a lot of other young women are interested in these areas, too, and they deserve the opportunity to learn about them and decide for themselves if they belong or not.”
The only other celeb I saw was Tory Burch, who is only a celeb because of her business. Meaning she didn't parlay fame to launch a business.
The rest of the ladies have for the most part started businesses relatively recently and become wealthy and powerful.
