The makers of "Game Of Thrones", David Benioff and Dan Weiss, are creating a new series for HBO that imagines what life would be like if the South won the Civil War.
The alternative-history drama is called "Confederate," and it chronicles events leading up to the Third American Civil War. Writers for "Empire" and "The Good Wife" are also working on the show, which will begin after the final season of "Game Of Thrones."
Social media lit about about the announcement, but not in a good way. Many posters pointed out how “messed up” it was that such a series could go forward when “Underground,” about the Underground Railroad, got canceled by its network.
