You would think with all the reaction to President Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban that most of the country disagreed with the policy. A new poll shows that is not even close to the case.
The Reuters-Ipsos poll conducted between January 30th and 31st shows slightly more Americans approving the measure than disapproving. That means the country is split on the issue. The poll found that 49% of adults say they either "strongly" or "somewhat" agree with the travel ban. Some 41% "strongly" or "somewhat" disagree and another 10-percent say they don't know.
However Reuters and other news agencies have misleading headlines regarding the poll like "Only 1/3 of Americans think Trumps Travel Ban Will Make Them Safer"
