Emily Johnson of Vacavill, California, said she and her husband, Michael, weren’t in a huge rush to get to the hospital when her contractions started on November 4th, a week before her due date, because they were ten minutes apart and they are only a five-minute drive from the hospital. But then the contractions sped up over the course of a half hour, and the couple decided it was definitely time to leave. Johnson said she made it as far as the car before she realized she would not get to the hospital in time, and laid on her front lawn to give birth with the help of her mother. Emergency responders arrived just after the baby was born, and the whole situation was caught on the couple’s Ring doorbell camera.
