The fast food wars just got uglier. Burger King is openly mocking Chick-fil-A. Check out BK's tweet below. Notice the (even on Sundays) part of the tweet - a seemingly direct shot at Chick-fil-A.
Burger King used a parenthesis to emphasize that donations will be made "even on Sundays" — clearly a cheap shot at Chick-fil-A, which is closed on Sundays.
Chick-fil-A is always closed on Sundays because founder Truett Cathy wants one day set aside so his employees can rest up and worship if they chose.
Chick-fil-A has also made headlines for its donations to charities that oppose same-sex marriage, such as The Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Now we wait on a retort from Chick-fil-A
