Hummus...eating too much can be harmful. Here's why.

Well, I guess that even healthy things not consumed in moderation can be harmful to your health. In the case of hummus, too much can lead to gastrointestinal inflammation. Hummus is made from chickpeas...a legume. These can be tough to digest and that can lead to IG inflammation or IBS. Both cause pain, gas, diarrhea and constipation.

The doctors say that eating more than 4.5 tablespoons of hummus can put your body at risk, which is something that’s easy to do when using the dip to complement chips or veggies. Plus more fiber from what you scoop your hummus with. Enjoy in moderation is the best advise offered by those in the know.
