I think we all saw this coming. Dr. Fauci said in an interview with NBC's "Meet The Press" that he thinks Americans have become used to wearing masks and that it is "conceivable that as we go on a year or two or more from now that during certain seasonal periods when you have respiratory borne viruses like the flu, people might actually elect to wear masks to diminish the likelihood that you’ll spread these respiratory borne diseases."
In essence, he says masks have worked to slow the spread of COVID-19...why not use them to slow the spread of all respiratory illnesses.
@ScottGottliebMD adds this to the mask conversation, saying that in areas where the majority of folks are fully vaccinated, mask mandates aren't needed indoors and for sure not outside.
