Twitter just announced its new "Tip Jar" feature. It'll allow people send money to their favorite users. It's currently only available to a limited number of people described as "creators, journalists, experts, and nonprofits."

But anyone who uses Twitter in English can send tips to those accounts, and Twitter says it won't get any of it. Users that activate Tip Jar on their account will be able to connect it to payment platforms like Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Patreon and Bandcamp.

That's all we're getting from Twitter HQ now, but more to follow.
