A bomb squad in Maryland disposed of a live Civil War cannonball after it was discovered last week by a homeowner. The bomb squad took the cannonball to a quarry and carried out an emergency disposal. The homeowner received the cannonball from another family member who had found it earlier near the Monocacy National Battlefield.
