Alex Trebek's name will grace the new center dedicated to helping the homeless in LA.
Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission has received a donation of $500,000 from his wife Jean. The brand new 23,000 square foot, 107 bed homeless shelter will be named after the late game show icon. The Trebek Center will be built in the old San Fernando Valley roller rink.
Groundbreaking ceremonies will be on May 15th.
This is not the first shelter funded by Trebek. He and his wife also donated $100,000 to build a bridge shelter in North Hollywood.
