Chef Jeff Dinnebeil and his wife, Megan Lingsweiler, owners of The Standard in Toledo, decided their hardworking staff deserved more than a simple “thank you”—so they surprised the whole team with a three‑day Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas. They even brought along loyal customers and former employees for the ride.
The restaurant shut down so everyone could fully enjoy island adventures, catered meals, and some well‑earned relaxation. One cook said they boarded as coworkers and came home feeling like family.
Jeff and Megan say their staff is the lifeblood of their success, and they proved it again with holiday bonuses on top of the tropical getaway.
